BEIJING, June 29 — Chinese Premier Li Qiang has congratulated Robinah Nabbanja on her re-election as Uganda’s prime minister.
China and Uganda enjoy a traditional friendship, Li said in his message dated Friday. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Yoweri Museveni, China and Uganda have deepened political mutual trust, advanced practical cooperation, and maintained close coordination in international affairs, Li added. Li said that he is willing to join hands with his Ugandan counterpart to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state and the outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, carry forward the traditional friendship, expand cooperation and exchanges in various fields, promote the steady and long-term development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Uganda, and deliver more benefits to the two peoples.
