Equatorial Guinea’s president reappoints Manuel Osa Nsue Nsua as Prime Minister

YAOUNDE, June 20– Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo signed a decree on Friday reappointing Manuel Osa Nsue Nsua as prime minister, three days after his resignation.

On Tuesday, Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue announced that Osa Nsue Nsua and the entire cabinet had resigned after achieving “barely 10 percent” of their goals. The reappointment paves the way for the formation of a new cabinet. According to a decree issued on Wednesday, the new government will consist of a reduced number of ministries.Osa Nsue Nsua was first appointed prime minister in August 2024.
