Namibia National Football team invited to participate in 2026 FIFA Series

WINDHOEK, Jan. 29– Namibia‘s men’s national team will take part in the second edition of the FIFA Series, an invitational tournament promoted by FIFA and scheduled for March and April. Namibia will face Kuwait, Comoros and Kazakhstan in group-stage matches, all to be hosted in Kazakhstan, the Namibia Football Association announced on Wednesday. Head coach Collin Benjamin welcomed the invitation, highlighting the chance for his players to gain international experience while contributing to football’s wider development. “The platform will provide players with valuable international match exposure as part of FIFA’s broader efforts to enhance global football development,” Benjamin said. The FIFA Series features 48 teams divided into 12 groups, with all matches counting toward the FIFA World Rankings. Introduced as a competitive international friendly format, the tournament aims to provide meaningful competition while allowing coaches to assess players and refine tactics.
