TVET Directorate Reviews 2021 Policy Progress in Swakopmund to Boost Skills and Innovation

The Directorate of TVET under the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC) is currently hosting an inception meeting to review the progress of the National TVET Policy of 2021 in Swakopmund.

The purpose of this meeting is to review the implementation of the current TVET Policy Action Plan, and to assess progress made towards achieving its objectives.

This important engagement brings together the

TVET policy steering committee for two days focusing on several core areas of the policy. These include evaluating the implementation of the current TVET Policy, enhancing the quality and relevance of TVET programmes nationwide, and strengthening national efforts to promote research, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the sector.

The expected outcome of this review is an inclusive and responsive, TVET Policy that aligns with Namibia’s current national development priorities and emerging economic needs.

Through this process, the Directorate of TVET aims to ensure that the sector continues to equip Namibian youth with competitive, future-ready skills while supporting national growth, innovation, and sustainable development.
