Welcoming the European Union (EU) Commission delegation during a courtesy meeting, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah stated that the meeting testifies to a strong and conducive working relationship between Namibia and the EU and a need to further cement the relation.
Namibia is busy developing its green and oil sectors and is open to collaborating with the EU in these sectors, hoping to attain tangible and positive outcomes, informed President Nandi-Ndaitwah.
On his part, Mr. Jozef Sikela, the European Union Commissioner for International Partnerships, stated that the European Union Commission and Namibia are very strategic due to their focus on human development, economic growth, and job creation.
He added that the EU aims to create access to the European market, promote vocational training, and support Namibia’s green hydrogen agenda.
