Prime Minister Dr. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare Receives Triangle Economic Forum Delegation to Discuss Investment and Nation-Building Initiatives

On 15 September 2025, Prime Minister Dr. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Natangue Ithete, welcomed a courtesy visit from the Triangle Economic Forum, led by its Founder and Director, Andre Neethling, Mr George Nghifikwa, Sheeteka, George Jiao Ndangi Lineekela Sheetekela Isaak Haoeb Mayor of Otavi Town Council. Triangle Economic Forum is a business outfit comprising women, youth and workers.

During the meeting, Mr. Neethling expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for maintaining an open-door policy that embraces all Namibians. He provided an overview of the organization’s objectives, future plans, and potential investment initiatives in Namibia particularly in mining of copper near Dordabis and Kunene Region.

Prime Minister Dr. Ngurare encouraged the delegation to ensure their efforts reflect a human-centered approach and prioritize the national interest. He emphasized that nation-building is a collective responsibility not solely that of the government but one that involves all stakeholders, including both local and international investors.

He further underscored the importance of integrity, stressing that corruption should be regarded as an act of treason. Dr. Ngurare urged the team never to offer favors to public officials in exchange for the performance of their official duties.

The meeting concluded with a brief discussion between the two leaders on areas of mutual interest, including shared aspirations such as value addition and the empowerment of young Namibians through capacity building, particularly in the mining sector and agriculture.
