Swakopmund, September 2 — The much anticipated Namibia Sport Expo 2025 is officially launching this Thursday, 4 September 2025, promising to be a transformative event for sports enthusiasts and stakeholders across Namibia. The launch will take place at 11h00 in the Ugab Room, located on the 5th floor of the MTC Dome in Swakopmund.
Organized by the MTC Dome in collaboration with the Namibian Sport Commission, this milestone event aims to showcase the breadth and dynamism of Namibian sport through a comprehensive program featuring interactive exhibits, keynote presentations, workshops, competitions, and community outreach initiatives.
The launch event will begin with registration and refreshments from 10:30 to 11:00, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Givean Simulandela, Head of Marketing at the Namibian Sport Commission. Mr. Fanus Engelbrecht, CEO of the MTC Dome, will then introduce the Namibia Sport Expo 2025, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting sports festival.
A keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Simataa Mwiya, Chief Administrator of the Namibian Sport Commission, who will emphasize the importance of collaborative efforts to elevate sports development nationally. Ms. T’Neil Young, General Manager of Sport at MTC Dome, will showcase the Expo’s planned activities and the overarching conference theme, highlighting inclusive participation and athlete development.
The launch will conclude with a media Q&A session alongside photo opportunities, allowing journalists and attendees to engage directly with the Expo organizers and sport leaders.
