During a courtesy meeting and lunch with the leaders of the four traditional authorities—Masubia, Mayeyi, Mafwe, and Mashi—President Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasised her respect for tradition, noting that it was important to first pay homage to the custodians of culture before proceeding with official programmes.
“I am in Zambezi for the celebration of Heroes’ Day, and I found it important to meet our traditional leaders first. I value tradition deeply, and I appreciate your time and kindness as we share this moment together,” President Nandi-Ndaitwah said.
The President will officiate the Heroes’ Day commemoration tomorrow, 26 August 2025, at the Katima Mulilo Sports Complex.
