On August 24, Katima Mulilo Airport welcomed a distinguished group of Namibian leaders commemorating Heroes Day. Among them was Former President H.E. Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, who also serves as Chancellor of the University of Namibia (UNAM) and Patron of the UNAM Foundation. He was joined by Right Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Elijah Ngurare, Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Sara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform Hon. Inge Zaamwani-Kamwi, and Finance and Social Grants Minister Hon. Ericah Shafudah.
During his visit to the Zambezi Region, Dr. Mbumba is scheduled to tour the University of Namibia’s Zambezi Campus, which recently inaugurated a new Veterinary Consulting Room. This facility marks a key milestone in enhancing veterinary education and animal health services for the community. The dignitaries’ visit highlights the government’s commitment to regional development and honoring national heroes.
